Without counsel purposes are disappointed: but in the multitude of counselors they are established. -Proverbs 15:22

It's been a long time since I wrote but what I wanted to share is something that has been impressed on my heart lately. Recently God has been showing me the benefit of me moving to a place where I do not know anyone. I had been questioning why I was put into this new place and came up with many reasons why but one of the ones that stands out the most is giving me more wise counsel in my life.

I thank God that I have been blessed to always have some form of wise counsel as I began my journey with God whether I knew it or not at the time. Yet sometimes I rejected it because it would make me feel uncomfortable at the time. It could be the feeling of I don't totally agree with everything about this person, thoughts of I know better than them and was meant to give them something, intimidation, or just someone I wouldn't want to hang out with.

Through this process though I realized that this didn't qualify them from being wise counsel. what qualified them was living out the word of God in their lives was one of the biggest questions I should have been asking and secondly were they going where I wanted to go or already there. Also was I able to also give to them wisdom, encouragement, and correction if needed.

The quote kept being said over a course of time "You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with.” -Jim Rohn This statement made even more since I looked back over my life. When I first came to Christ I had a different circle of friends they were all awesome in their own way and I still love them with all my heart but as I began to seek God those relationships were not as close to me. I no longer found myself hanging out with the same people.

It was hard in the beginning I felt that it was my fault or their fault for the separation but I then realized it was God they needed someone to support them in where they were going and where they were at and I needed the same. I began to realize how crucial counsel was and not any counsel but wise those that were applying the knowledge God gave them to their own daily life.

Over this season I had many options to reject wise counsel because the reasons I listed above but as I took a look at the closest five people to me I realized that God was opening up my eyes to learn more about what he called me to in this season. The previous seasons I was just surviving trauma but this season I am called to thrive and to cultivate that same atmosphere for my children.

This wise counsel has empowered me in this season to push my self and to think differently. I thank God for surrounding me with people who are bold in the spirit, that love God but also succeed in their lives, families, marriages and businesses. It is so crucial to have the right people around when fulfilling your calling or purpose because without counsel those

My Prayer:

Lord those who are reading this prayer remove all ungodly counsel from their inner circle. Lord open their eyes to the wise counsel you have sent them may we as your people in the relationships have the fear of the Lord which is the beginning of wisdom. Lord tear down all walls limiting us from receiving your wisdom for our lives for our circumstances. Help us to be wise counsel for others and share what you have freely given to us to share. Thank you for everyone in our lives that is already wise counsel help us to appreciate them for who they are not for what they give and let us be givers in these relationships as well. Those that are ungodly counsel being removed let it be done with ease, understanding, and love. May there be no hard feelings on either side but just thankfulness for each other. Lord you are the ultimate giver of wisdom and understanding for those in a season of isolation or being taught by you Lord alone. May you reveal yourself to them, protect them, encourage them, and counsel them in this season. May their transition back in community with other be smooth and filled with direction and purpose. Ultimately Lord You are our wise counsel be that for use for ever and ever In Jesus Name, Amen!
