Let Your Light Shine

Just want to remind you today to let your light shine and let it shine brightly. No matter how dark it gets, because there is life inside of you there is light in there somewhere. Sometimes it is hard to see but don't measure it by what the world says but know that God has called you to be a light.

"In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven." -Matthew 5:16

Everyone's light does not look the same and I want you to know that you matter. Some are looking for the light that is inside of you, even though you don't look the same as others. Authentically speaking I was reminded of that this week. My light may be red and someone else's blue but my light is just as special. There is no need to compare because all of it is to bring glory to God and to spread love in this world.

Spreading the love of God which is perfected love is our mission and our goal. To help our brothers and sisters in this world find hope and peace through Christ Jesus is our purpose. Yet we may not all do it the same way some are called to share financial advice to bring forth breakthroughs, while others are to uplift through encouraging words and others gifted in healing may do so in the form of counseling.

I have found it hard sometimes even more recently to see the value of what I am called to do. Thoughts came to my mind that everyone is telling the same story so why would God want me to tell mine. My story doesn't really matter. Then I was reminded of a conversation with my mom. "Pera if there is anything you should keep doing it is write that blog, it is the one thing you have been consistent with and I enjoy reading them when I get a chance to."

I was amazed that the one thing I felt was useless was impacting those around me. She proceeded by saying, "Even if it's not for everybody, know it is for somebody". Her light as a mom helped me to keep writing and sharing and so I am here to encourage you today LET YOUR LIGHT SHINE!
