Last week in my class we were learning about vision not any kind of vision but Kingdom vision. The scripture that was referenced for this teaching was

Since we are still in the beginning of the year I know many of us are still excited about our goals and I'm so thankful for that, yet I want to prepare us for the second half. Let me share with you all what I have learned through experience and through God's spirit teaching me. Be encouraged that the vision will come to past even if it's not on your time. I can just stop right there!!!! The Lord is so good, that he prepares us to expect that there may be waiting seasons in what we are called to do, what God shows us, and when we are building or creating.

Anything really worth building will take time and that is a must. I will share on how your waiting season can be more fruitful instead of frustrating. In your waiting season prepare for the places that you are going. Preparation may mean acts of faith for some while others need to begin to plan. God will require preparation for the vision this takes knowledge & training, Godly character, and planning.

Godly Character

During the waiting let God develop your character. There are many people who are so talented but lack character. This is a downfall that ends up ruining the very thing that they were created to do or be. During the wait let God develop your character. Have a character of integrity meaning you keep your word and you don't lie about what you say. Your words should match up with your actions this was one of the things God had to especially developed me in.

Let me tell you, I'd say to my friend's I'm going out with them and the moment I didn't feel like it, I told them no. For a long time my friends would just call me a flake and they would deal with it but one friend was so hurt and told me this was something she could not stand for. Well I had did it all my life but in that moment I chose not to be offended but realized that this was not a good character trait if I wanted healthy relationships. This was the beginning of the refining of my character.

Refining our character is a important to sustain the vision. In your season allow God to refine your character. Sometimes it may feel like your being picked on or you may feel like I've always done it this way but I encourage us to be open to change for the better. Make up in your mind that you will change for good no matter how uncomfortable it gets and allow those that really know you to help you be accountable in the growth of your character. Now that your character is developed or even during the refining of your character you must gain knowledge and be trained in what is needed to walk in that God given area, influence or position.

Knowledge is Key

We must know what it takes to complete the vision. If I know that I want to be a doctor, pastor, singer, lawyer or even a counselor, I must know what is required. Each one of the occupations have different requirements in education. Doctors have to go to school for so many years to get the knowledge of the human body and how it functions. Then they are taught how to put their knowledge into physical use. They must be trained to think like a doctor, assess the body like a doctor, and have a mindset of a doctor . They can't just say they want to be a doctor and then don't learn and train for the position.

To make this more relatable lets even say you want to be a business owner or maybe you want to get married. What knowledge and training have you been gaining so when the opportunity arises you are successful. Is your home in order? Are your finances in order? Are you aware of the mindsets of a business person or a married person? Both of these titles require great time management skills how are you managing the time you already have?

Knowledge and training is crucial in the season of preparation. As you are sharpening your mind and training physically you will not be worried about the fact that this vision is taking time to come to pass. Your focus will be on being excellent in what you can do to prepare. It's already told to us that we will wait but wait with expectation, while waiting learn and develop.

Plan to Succeed

Lastly plan! Plan how to go forward and strategically reach the outcome. Planning is one of the must haves in your season of preparation. First off the scripture tells us to write down what we are called to, our goal, and/or vision. That is the first part of planning. Write down where you see yourself. Write down every detail and don't leave any parts out, make it plain.

How long will you like it to take to achieve this? What are the things needed to achieve this? Are you required to obtain a degree or license? This is all information that needs to be written down and also there needs to be a strategy. Whether you research how or God divinely instructs you on the steps you should take, planning is very important in the waiting season.

Wise counsel is important to success as well. Make sure to have those around you who are wise and can help you with strategy. This will also help with knowing what to expect while planning for your goals. God's word tells us

Without counsel plans fail, but with many advisers they succeed.

Whether its a mentor or networking with those who are doing what you are planning to do surround yourself with wise counsel. Wise Counsel once shared with me that, " the biggest act of faith is preparation."-Marcharie Hayle

As you begin to prepare I'd like to release a prayer to cover you and go before you, that God will guide you in this season.

Prayer

My prayer is that everyone who reads this learns to prepare in their season of waiting. No matter what your waiting on a home, job, business, maybe kids, or marriage, I pray that you will find joy and peace in the waiting season. Let this season grow you and stretch you. I speak rest in the upcoming responsibility your dreams may carry. May God given vision and strategic plans be given to you in this season and may you look to God and God alone for hope.

God order their steps and establish the plans that are from you. As they consider the field, title, goal or whatever it is their waiting on let them estimate the cost that they can prepare to complete it (Luke 14:28) I decree that the plans you have to prosper them and no to harm them will prevail and be their expected end (Jeremiah 29:11). Everyone reading this will keep their eyes stayed on you and you will keep them in perfect peace (Isaiah 26:3) in Jesus name, Amen!

Peace & Favor
